A native of Rolla, ND, Ben Bucher joined TCMC in 2015 as the new administrator/CEO and also joined the medical staff as a family nurse practitioner specializing in ER, clinic, and hospital medicine. Bucher graduated from the University of North Dakota with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2003. He went on to practice at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks for several years before returning to graduate school at UND and completing his FNP degree. Bucher is board certified in family medicine and has specialty care in dermatological procedures, joint injections, and treatment of chronic diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease. In 2014, Bucher completed his Master’s in Business Administration with a specialization in healthcare. He currently is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Bucher enjoys numerous outdoor activities such as fishing, boating, golfing, and skiing. He also enjoys spending time with his 2 children Jack and Norah. Jeana has been practicing medicine at Towner County Medical Center since 2004. She enjoys establishing long-lasting relationships with her patients as she has the opportunity to care for patients throughout all stages of life. Jeana attended San Diego State University for her undergraduate work, later attended Saint Louis University, and graduated from their Physician Assistant program. Jeana is originally from California but has resided in Cando since 2002. Her parents and grandparents were born and raised in the Cando community, and she spent summers here growing up. She is married with three children and enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

Cassie graduated from the University of North Dakota and obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 2011. She practiced as an Oncology nurse at Altru for 6 years before completing her Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner at UND this past Spring. Cassie is Board certified as well as a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Cassie is looking forward to building her clientele in all areas of family medicine, but also has special interests in women’s health, dermatology procedures, and diabetes management. “I have a strong commitment to improving the health and wellness of our rural residents and am excited to serve the community and surrounding area while providing high-quality care to patients across the lifespan”.
Cassie is originally from Hallock, MN, and now resides in Langdon, ND. Cassie also enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Sam has been practicing medicine at Towner County Medical Center since 2013. Before working at TCMC, he was practicing medicine in Rolla, ND. Sam was born at Towner County Medical Center and grew up on a farm between Rock Lake and Bisbee. Sam completed both his undergraduate and graduate work at the University of North Dakota, graduating summa cum laude with honors. Sam has experience as a Cardiac Nurse and ICU nurse before moving into family practice. He and his family reside here in Cando. His wife grew up in Langdon, N.D. and they have three sons. Sam enjoys the small town life, and the opportunity to care for members of his community.

Grant began practicing medicine at Towner County Medical Center in September of 2015 after completing his training at the University of South Dakota. His undergraduate work consists of a bachelor’s degree from North Dakota State University in Radiologic Sciences. Grant grew up on his family farm in Penn, North Dakota. Grant is married and they have two children. He enjoys hunting, fishing, fieldwork, woodworking, cooking, biking, and spending time with family.

Amber earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Dakota in 2014. She practiced as a nurse in a critical access setting in Langdon, ND until 2025 where she gained experience in caring for people in inpatient, emergent, and outpatient settings. She has also worked as a diabetes educator in Langdon since 2015 and at TCMC since 2022, earning her Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist certification in 2020.Amber completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at the University of Mary in 2025 and is board certified in family practice.Amber is looking forward to building her practice and providing care to patients of all ages with a patient-centered, holistic, and evidence-based approach. She is especially passionate about diabetes management and excited to expand her existing foundation of diabetes care in this role. She values the opportunity to practice in a rural setting close to home and care for people at all stages of life.Amber is originally from Hampden, ND and currently resides outside of Langdon, ND. She enjoys outdoor activities, summer weekends at the lake, and spending time with her husband and two young children.

Her undergraduate work was completed at Concordia College completing a bachelor’s degree in both Biology and Nutrition/Dietetics. She attended Northwestern Health Sciences University completing her Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Dr. Nicholas lives in Cando with her husband and three children. She enjoys volunteering, traveling, fitness, and spending time with friends and family. Dr. Nicholas strives for an integrated care model with both medical and chiropractic services working together to provide the best possible care for her patients.

Dr. Ellenbecker has been providing chiropractic care in North Dakota since 1987. He practices at Towner County Medical Center on Tuesdays and Fridays. On the other days of the week, he is running a private practice in Minot. His undergraduate work was completed at Dickinson State University and later graduated from the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. Dr. Ellenbecker was named Chiropractor of the year in 2012 by the North Dakota Chiropractic Association. He is married with two children and enjoys home beer brewing, photography, and is a muzzleloader and fur trade reenacting enthusiast.

She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of North Dakota in 2008, earning a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She has experience in a variety of settings, including outpatient, nursing home, hospital, home health, and pediatric early intervention. Kayla is trained in Graston Technique and Primal Reflex Release Technique, Dry Needling, as well as a variety of other therapeutic interventions. Kayla enjoys outdoor activities with her family, sports, fitness, cooking, and traveling. She also has a special love for animals. Kayla is pleased to be serving the residents of Cando and surrounding areas.

Megan provides occupational therapy services at Towner County Medical Center and Towner County Living Center. Her undergraduate work was completed at the University of Mary, completing a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. She then continued her education at Mary, earning her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy in 2022. She is LSVT BIG certified and has experience in a variety of settings, including nursing home, hospital, outpatient, and inpatient rehabilitation. Megan grew up on a farm in Mayville, ND, and now resides in Crary, ND. She enjoys sports, fishing, fitness, attending concerts, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Megan is pleased to be offering these services to the residents of Cando and surrounding areas.

Josh is a physical therapist at Towner County Medical Center and Towner County Living Center. He is originally from Clifford, ND and graduated high school from MPCG. His collegiate education was completed at the University of Mary where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training in 2019, and Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2022. Josh is certified in dry needling and has experience in geriatrics, sports medicine, orthopedics, as well as outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation. Josh enjoys spending his free time hunting, fishing, playing darts, and spending time with family and friends. Josh is excited to be part of the team at TCMC to provide quality care to our patients.
